What is a visitor experience associate?

Visitor Experience Associates are professionals who work in museums, galleries, cultural institutions, or attractions to ensure guests have a positive and engaging experience. They greet visitors, provide information about exhibits or events, answer questions, and may assist with ticketing or guided tours. Their role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and helping guests navigate the venue effectively. They may also handle visitor feedback and help resolve any issues that arise during a visit.

What are some common challenges visitor experience associates face when interacting with guests, and how can they handle them effectively?

Visitor Experience Associates often encounter challenges such as managing high visitor volumes during peak times, addressing diverse guest needs, and handling unexpected situations like complaints or lost items. To excel, associates should maintain a calm and friendly demeanor, use active listening skills, and be knowledgeable about the facility's layout and policies. Proactively anticipating visitor questions and collaborating closely with security and other staff members helps ensure a smooth and positive experience for every guest.

Job description

About European Wax Center

European Wax Center®, a leading beauty lifestyle brand founded in 2004, offers guests a full suite of waxing services and a proprietary line of beauty products. Focused on our vision of Revealing Beautiful Skin®, we provide a modern, luxurious experience across more than 1,000 centers in the U.S. We pride ourselves on our unique "Waxing for All" business model and our famous "First Wax Free" offer.

About EWC UPMA Group

UPMA Group is a long-time franchise partner of European Wax Center. We believe that every guest deserves to Walk In and Strut Out. Beyond the guest experience, we are committed to our associates. We believe everyone in our community should have the opportunity to thrive, build wealth, and grow. We aren't just a job; we are a career path. We’re growing, glowing, and thriving—all we’re missing is you!

The Role: Not Just a Desk Job

This is a high-performance Sales role. While you are the first face our guests see, your primary mission is to drive the business through authentic communication and consistent sales results. We are looking for outgoing, confident, and sales-minded people who love the "hustle" and want to get paid for their performance.

This is where your career starts. At UPMA Group, we hire for the future. This role is the gateway to our leadership track:

Sales Associate (YOU) > Sales Lead > Assistant Center Manager > Center Manager > & Beyond!

Dreaming of the Suite? Many of our most successful Wax Specialists started exactly where you are—at the front desk! At UPMA Group, we love to "grow our own." If you have the passion for skincare but aren't licensed yet, starting as a GSA is the perfect way to learn the business from the ground up while you work toward your Texas Esthetician or Cosmetologist license. We’ll be here to cheer you on and transition you into the Hub-let program once you're ready!

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Sales Cycle: You’ll educate guests on our proprietary products and sell Wax Passes to ensure they stay on their beauty routine.

  • Create the Experience: You are the "Director of First Impressions," ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and hyped for their service.

  • Master the Hustle: You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where hitting targets is the goal and celebrating wins is the culture.

Scheduling & Availability
  • Dynamic Scheduling: This role requires a high degree of flexibility. You will lead a variety of shifts throughout the week (mornings and evenings) and will be required to work at least one full weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every week to ensure our team and guests are supported during our busiest times.

Why You’re Awesome

  • You have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and you are results-driven.

  • You enjoy a competitive environment and aren't afraid to "ask for the sale."

  • You have a unique personal brand and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • The idea of joining a team and growing with them gets you HYPE.

What You Get
  • Competitive Pay: Guaranteed starting base of $12/hour + uncapped commission and bonuses. Top earners achieve thousands in bonuses monthly.

  • Performance-Based Growth: Pay increase opportunities twice a year based on your hustle, not just your tenure.

  • Benefits: Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, and more.

  • The Perks: 40% OFF all products and FREE Waxing.

  • Support: Paid training, associate referral cash bonuses, and an inspiring management team dedicated to your success.

Ready to Apply?

If you have a strong background in sales and customer service and are looking for a career rather than just a job, we want to hear from you.

Apply now to join the UPMA Group team!
