The schedule for this position is M - F, Hours are - 6:30am - 3pm. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
Required Job Duties
The basic function of the Quality Assurance Vision Inspector is to ensure the functions in the Responsibilities section are performed in an effective manner.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
  • Reports directly to the Manager, Quality Assurance
  • Responsible for inspecting clinical labels for any defect via electronic vision systems. These electronic vision systems are software-based programs.
  • Performing line clearances and press / equipment clearances for production lines.
  • Verify accuracy of label copy against customer proof approval using Electronic Vision Inspection Systems, if applicable.
  • Verify accuracy of proofs against customer provided text either through manual verification (cross out character-by-character) or by using Electronic Vision Inspection Systems.
  • Verify accuracy of artwork against customer approved proof either through manual verification (cross out character-by-character) or by using Electronic Vision Inspection Systems.
  • Perform weekly and monthly maintenance on equipment.
  • Ensure that all department logs are always maintained and up to date.
  • Ensure all appropriate documents are correct and signed off.
  • Interface with all other departments to ensure all work is being completed in concert with overall company goals.
  • It is the responsibility of the employee to carry out GMP and SOP procedures with the day-to-day operations at the company.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned to assist the company with day-to-day operation.

Requirements
  • College Degree preferred
  • Phamaceutical experience A +
  • Clinical supply inspection criteria A+
  • QA inspection knowledge A+
  • Computer knowledge required, especially for software based electronic vision systems.
  • Well organized with a very strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Able to communicate well with others.
  • Accuracy in checking and recording.
  • cGMP experience preferred.
  • Math: Strong math skills required.
  • Language: Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English to interact with customers and co-workers.
  • Spatial: Must have excellent eyesight, hearing, and depth perception
