Job description

Video Producer (Performance Marketing)

Aviron, a Y-Combinator company, transforms boring workouts into habit-building fitness entertainment through its innovative game-based cardio equipment, including rowing machines, bikes and treadmills. Y-Combinator, a startup incubator renowned for nurturing groundbreaking startups like Airbnb, Dropbox, and Instacart, has been instrumental in Aviron's journey, supporting rapid growth through two funding rounds totaling ~$35M.
Founded with the mission to End Boring Workouts, our unique approach combines the enjoyment of playing games with the benefits of exercise, crafting an experience that's fun, effective and even addictive.

We invite you to explore our Facebook community and witness the impact of Aviron firsthand.

Aviron is right for you if

  • You're looking for a role that prioritizes personal and professional growth

  • You're self-motivated and and take pride in producing amazing work
  • You're not down with office politics
  • You want to own your work, start to finish
  • You are looking to make an impact and see how your work drives growth

Position Overview

We're looking for a creative powerhouse to bring Aviron's story to life through video. As our Video Producer, you'll own the end-to-end process from concept and storyboarding to shooting, editing, and delivering high-performing content that drives results. Reporting into the Marketing Manager, and collaborating closely with the Creative and performance teams, you'll craft thumb-stopping videos for paid and organic channels, blending cinematic storytelling with data-driven strategy. With expert editing, sound, and motion skills, you'll ensure every frame captivates our audience and strengthens the Aviron brand. Fast-paced, hands-on, and impact-focused - this role is built for a creator who can turn ideas into conversion-driving content.

This is a hybrid role. Although we don't mandate any in-office days, this role does require collaborating closely with the creative team, using our Toronto office as a studio to do shooting with the CEO/founder.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, shooting, editing, and production of amazing video content for paid and organic channels
  • Review creative briefs, develop storyboards, and plan for production

  • Use your creative skills to keep the audience hooked. Iterate creative based on paid social results and team feedback
  • Work alongside the Creative, Growth, and Product Marketing teams to ensure all content aligns with Aviron's brand story and creative strategy

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the various hardware and software equipment, plus systems needed (i.e., cameras, production equipment, edit systems, etc.)
  • Scope and rent/purchase equipment as needed for shoots as well as to build and maintain an in-house studio-style production setup
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience as a video producer, within DTC or e-commerce
  • Strong knowledge of video equipment and shooting techniques
  • Proficiency in video editing software like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools
  • A creative mindset with a sharp eye for detail and storytelling
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous, and collaborative environment

What we offer

  • $5,000 annual education allowance to support your development and professional growth
  • Unlimited Essential Days. Vacation days should be for just that, vacation. That's why we have paid essential days to use for those crappy unforeseen events
  • 3 weeks vacation. To just vacation however you'd like
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan. We are all owners of the business and want all our employees to have a piece of the pie
  • Annual discretionary bonus. So all our employees can reap the rewards of a successful year and hard work
  • Free rower, bike, or treadmill. Work out with the Aviron community
  • Team on-sites. Nothing beats face time with the crew - we gather at our Toronto office twice a year to connect, collaborate, and have fun
  • 100% employer paid benefits. Improving the health and happiness of our A-team members
