Job Summary:
B&A is looking for an Unarmed Security Officer / Security Guard to join our HQ team in Huntsville, AL. The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, customers, and property. The officer monitors facilities, patrols assigned areas, responds to incidents, and enforces site-specific security procedures while providing professional customer service.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and protect assigned facilities, personnel, and assets.
  • Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
  • Control access to facilities by verifying credentials and visitor authorization.
  • Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies, incidents, and security concerns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident, accident, and activity reports.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and notify management or law enforcement when required.
  • Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and site-specific procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Perform security checks of doors, gates, locks, and other access points.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required state security guard license or certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
  • Basic computer proficiency for report writing and security systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must pass background screening and any applicable drug testing requirements.
