Job Title: HS Math Teacher
Department: Instructional Staff
Reports to: AGHS/JH Building Principal
Classification: Exempt
Terms of Employment: 9 months (184 days). Salary reviewed annually and benefits according to Board policies.
Summary
The teacher is to assist students in learning the appropriate subject matter, skills, and/or attitudes that will contribute to their development as responsible citizens.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Abides by Missouri statutes, school board policies and regulations
โ€ข Upholds school rules and administrative regulations
โ€ข Attends meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors
โ€ข Participates in faculty, grade level and subject area committees and sponsorship of pupil
activities

โ€ข Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects to communicate these objectives to students

โ€ข Manage and maintain an orderly and safe classroom
โ€ข Communicates with administrators, parents, students, and staff members
โ€ข Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupil's progress and interpret school program
โ€ข Understand students on an individual level and differentiate instruction based on student needs
โ€ข Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day
โ€ข Teacher Supports the total school program by observing curricular and extra-curricular student activities
โ€ข Exhibits dependability and punctuality in assigned duties
โ€ข Strives to achieve the objectives and expectations of the Educator Performance Improvement Cycle
โ€ข Displays appropriate personal and professional traits that exhibit a positive role model for students

โ€ข Valid Missouri teacher certification in Math
