  • Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (TSSH) specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management. TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. TSSH offers a variety of services, such as anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology and spine care.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for medical/surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Serve in a resource role when oriented and as directed.
  • Support the organization's vision and mission.
  • Utilize knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.
  • Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Job Requirements:
  • Associate's in nursing (ADN) or Diploma RN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN License or Compact License, as deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
  • Six months previous nursing experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors in nursing (BSBN) from an accredited school of nursing.
