Job description

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Rochester, NY. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care.
Job Description:
Compensation : $ 54.35
Job ID : 45314
Job Function :
  • Shift: 36 hrs | 3x12 Days.
  • Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
  • Prepare the oper ating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
  • Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
  • Handle and label specimens according to policy
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection-control standards
  • Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow

Job Requirements:

  • Active NY State RN License required
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
  • Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required
  • Experience in Level I Trauma OR preferred
  • Must be able to scrub and circulate
  • Minimum 1 year ophthalmology surgical experience in required subspecialties
  • ACLS Certification- highly desired
  • Level I Trauma Center OR experience- highly desired
