Job description

An employer in the Houston, TX area is looking for a VDC (virtual design and construction) Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, hold a journeyman's or master electrician license, and possess basic computer knowledge. The main software's used are Revit and Navisworks. As a VDC Technician, you will be responsible for virtually designing electrical installations for new and existing commercial construction projects. This position can pay between $70,000 to $80,000 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and manage virtual models of electrical systems for commercial construction projects.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
· Utilize software tools to create detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and diagrams.
· Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents.
· Identify and resolve design conflicts and issues.
