Schedule: 3x12 shits, (7a-7p) rotating weekends

Join the largest inpatient unit at Centerpoint - Georgetown! Our busy and dynamic Med/Surg unit features 20 private patient rooms and cares for an average daily census of 18 patients, with the flexibility to accommodate up to 25 patients when needed. As a high-volume unit that discharges more than 100 patients each month, our team is at the heart of exceptional patient care and recovery.

How you'll contribute

A Med/Surg RN who excels in this role:

  • Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs
  • Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
  • Develops individual nursing care plans
  • Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
  • Evaluates patient care outcomes
  • Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
  • Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
  • Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
  • Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
  • Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing, Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Preferred
  • License: Current RN to practice in the state of (KY)
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
