Job description

Pediatrician Opportunity

If it's possible, you will find it at Atrium Health—the leading community-focused academic healthcare system serving North Carolina and South Carolina. We invite Pediatrician physicians to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and visionaries together in our Children's team in Charlotte, NC.

Highlights

  • 1.0 FTE
  • Virtual Primary Care practice combined with in person care in Charlotte NC
  • Employment is shift-based, with each clinician working 32 hours per week on a rotating basis.
  • 60% VPC and 40% Extended Care
  • Clinic Hours 8am-8pm Mon-Sun
  • Shifts: Weekend Shifts – Saturday and Sunday 8-8 in-person and then 8 hours virtually either on Friday or Monday
  • Call: 1 week every 6-8 weeks (phone back up for Nocturnist support)
  • Clinical assistance via virtual medical assistants and care coordination support via referral coordinators
  • Patients can schedule directly with their physician, preserving the trusted physician-patient relationship found in traditional practices
  • Nutrition counseling, Parent education, Virtual house calls, Chronic disease management, Lactation support, and Behavioral health consultation are services offered by the virtual primary care practice
  • In person care provided through Extended Care Clinic offering full primary care services

Training and/or Experience Required

  • Board Certified Pediatrician
  • At least 3 years of practice experience
  • Patients seen in person in Charlotte, NC office
  • Our virtual pediatricians will care for patients in NC, SC, GA, AL, IL, and WI.
