Job Summary
In this contingent resource assignment, you will participate in low to moderately complex Systems Operations Engineering initiatives supporting enterprise infrastructure operations. The role is responsible for first-level infrastructure support, incident management, system monitoring, operational troubleshooting, and escalation management across enterprise server, storage, and infrastructure platforms.
The successful candidate will support mission-critical infrastructure services by performing rapid incident triage, troubleshooting operating system and hardware issues, coordinating resolutions, and ensuring service stability in a fast-paced operations environment. This role is focused on infrastructure operations and production support, not desktop support or help desk functions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations Support

• Provide first-level support for enterprise infrastructure platforms
• Monitor and support:
  • Windows Server environments
  • Red Hat Linux environments
  • Storage platforms
  • Server hardware
  • Distributed infrastructure systems
• Assist with operational maintenance activities
• Support enterprise infrastructure availability and performance

Incident Management

• Monitor ServiceNow incident queues
• Perform incident triage and prioritization
• Investigate operational alerts and system issues
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate engineering teams
• Document incidents and resolution activities
• Support SLA and operational-response commitments

Troubleshooting & Break/Fix Support

• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues
• Troubleshoot:
  • Server Operating Systems
  • Hardware Components
  • Storage Systems
  • Backup Processes
  • VMware Environments
• Identify root causes of operational issues
• Support break/fix remediation efforts
• Coordinate with engineering teams when additional support is required

Server & Platform Administration

• Support Windows and Linux server environments
• Assist with provisioning and configuration activities
• Support OS installations and updates
• Validate server functionality after maintenance or changes
• Support network and hardware-related troubleshooting activities

Storage & Infrastructure Support

• Support SAN and NAS technologies
• Monitor storage infrastructure health
• Assist with storage-related incident investigations
• Coordinate infrastructure support across multiple technology teams

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Maintain operational documentation and knowledge articles
• Update incident records and support procedures
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements
• Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives
• Share troubleshooting knowledge with team members

Collaboration

• Partner with:

• Communicate operational issues and status updates
• Follow escalation procedures and operational standards
