Job Summary
This field-based scientific role serves as a critical bridge between cutting-edge medical research and clinical practice in the radiology space. The position demands a unique combination of deep scientific expertise and exceptional communication skills to engage with healthcare providers, researchers, and academic thought leaders. Working remotely with significant travel throughout the assigned territory, this individual will be responsible for delivering objective medical information, supporting clinical education initiatives, and ensuring the safe and effective use of radiology products. The role requires building strong relationships with key opinion leaders while maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to shape medical practice through evidence-based education and to contribute meaningfully to patient care outcomes in the radiology field.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute clinical and medical education strategies through in-person, virtual, and hybrid training environments
Provide scientific and medical support to healthcare providers in the field, ensuring safe and effective product use
Respond to unsolicited requests for detailed product and disease state information in a timely and accurate manner
Report adverse events promptly and in accordance with regulatory requirements
Identify and engage with national and regional thought leaders and key opinion leaders in radiology
Represent the company at scientific conferences, symposiums, and medical meetings
Support research site identification and investigator-initiated research activities
Conduct speaker training and evaluation for healthcare professionals
Coordinate and participate in advisory boards and scientific workshops
Assist customers with protocol adaptation and provide guidance on alternative protocols for optimal patient outcomes
Collaborate with internal teams including research and development, clinical, and commercial departments
Monitor and report competitive activity within the therapeutic area
Identify account and hospital influence levels to support commercial segmentation
Prepare and present scientific data to both internal and external audiences
Contribute to the development of materials for internal and external use
Skills
Advanced scientific knowledge in radiology and related therapeutic areas
Exceptional presentation and communication abilities for diverse audiences
Strong understanding of FDA regulations and compliance guidelines
Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data
Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders
Deep understanding of radiology workflow and clinical best practices
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork
Experience
Previous experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or healthcare setting preferred
Demonstrated experience engaging with healthcare professionals and thought leaders
Background in radiology or diagnostic imaging highly desirable
Qualifications
PharmD, MD, PhD, MBBS, or equivalent advanced degree required
Professional licensure with continuing education documentation where applicable
Completion of MSL certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory
