3 Key Consulting is recruiting an Engineer for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description:
Our client's Digital Integration & Predictive Technologies (DIPT) team is a global process development function that develops and deploys innovative advanced computational technologies in: data capture, integration and management first principles and machine learning modeling towards improved process understanding and robustness monitoring, prediction and optimization of manufacturing.
In this role you will develop, apply and deploy thorough mathematical models of drug delivery device technologies. The candidate will apply structural, fluid, biomechanical, and multi-physics theory to develop novel first-principles and mechanistic computational models addressing a wide variety of ambitious problems associated with device design control, characterization, verification and validation.
The Engineer / Data Scientist will collaborate heavily with internal stakeholders, as well as document and communicate the underlying technical basis of the models for the benefit of and use by engineers and scientists responsible for delivering processes and devices to operations.
The candidate will be part of cross functional project teams with frequent interactions with client's SMEs and stakeholders.
Top Must Have Skill Sets:
  • Experienced with Finite Element Analysis
  • Experienced with CAD tools
  • Ability to code in Python
  • Experience with machine design

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include identifying key product/unit/systems properties/phenomena, formulating the fundamental equations describing these, examining modeling simplification and assumptions, implementing models in commercial and proprietary software and deploying these models to internal users via an enterprise modeling infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in mathematical and computational (in-silico) modeling is required.
  • Experience in device, product, or process development is highly desired.
