Job Summary
The Process Technician performs multiple functions (crème operator, crème- capper, weighing waste, operating striper, changing over enrobers, etc.) within the process area.
  • Set-up and operation of the crème and capper and other equipment as needed
  • Setting belt speeds
  • Accurate and continual measuring to ensure product is within specs
  • Accurate consumption of lots and ingredients
  • Accurate reporting in the OPM program
  • Responsible for keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly, keep waste to a minimum
  • Documenting production reports
  • Entering measurement data and analyzing the information
  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Willingness to be flexible and perform tasks and functions as needed
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and ability to work without direct supervision
  • Basic math skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and be organized
  • Minor equipment maintenance
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to frequently lift and move 50 lbs.
  • Steel-toed safety shoes
  • Demonstrated ability to determine cause and effect
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good work, safety, and attendance records
  • Knowledge of and adherence to personal safety, company food safety, product purity, and departmental procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with management, co-workers and other departments
  • Demonstrated ability to work over or come in early to set-up or shut down the line
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop others on equipment and line operating functions

Preferred Qualifications
  • OPM, LPS, MIDAS and PC experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Lift Truck License
