Position: Associate Professor (Mathematics)
Hours/Status: Full Time Faculty (32 hours per week)

Responsibilities:
  • Teach 15-21 contact hours per term in mathematics courses based on college needs; this is a year-round position.
  • Create a dynamic, engaging, and learner-centered classroom environment, incorporating digital learning platforms in meaningful ways.
  • Ensure instructional effectiveness and model lifelong learning through ongoing professional development.
  • Provide academic support, including skills assistance and tutoring in mathematics, as well as general student support as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and assess strategies to improve student retention and success.
  • Utilize virtual conferencing platforms effectively to support students in a remote environment.
  • Support the integration of mathematics skills across the curriculum and contribute to the development of subject-specific learning activities.
  • Assist with curriculum development and ensure courses align with student success outcomes.
  • Contribute to building industry connections and promote employability skills within the classroom.
  • Serve on campus committees and actively participate in campus events.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular department meetings and faculty in-service sessions.
  • Maintain availability to teach both day and evening classes at Wisconsin market campuses.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree required including minimum 18 graduate credits in mathematics. Master's degree in mathematics needed to teach 300 and 400 level courses.
  • Successful teaching experience at the college level and dynamic and engaging classroom skills as reflected in classroom observations, student evaluations, course documentation, etc.
  • Knowledge of general Microsoft computer software, online publisher platforms, and student management platforms (i.e., Blackboard). Ability to quickly adapt to new platforms.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success.
  • Commitment to continuous curriculum enhancement and application of best practices
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment.
