Job description

Stellar is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and growth-minded Training Coordinator to help build and scale our company-wide training platform across multifamily operations. This is a high-impact role focused on developing structured learning programs, coordinating training initiatives, improving operational execution, and helping teams perform at a higher level across the portfolio. If you enjoy building systems, driving improvement, and creating meaningful organizational impact, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing company.

We believe operational excellence starts with developing people. We are building a scalable, forward-thinking platform focused on growth, accountability, and execution - and we're looking for someone excited to help lead that effort. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building scalable programs, improving operational execution, and developing high-performing teams.

The Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, organizing, and managing Stellar's training platform across all on-site roles. This is a coordination and orchestration role-not the sole creator or trainer-but the central driver ensuring training is structured, scalable, and effectively executed across the portfolio.

This position leverages internal subject matter experts, third-party partners, and industry resources to build a multi-dimensional training platform aligned with Stellar's policies, processes, tools (PPTs), and performance expectations.

The Training Coordinator ensures training is not just delivered-but tracked, measured, and tied to operational performance outcomes (occupancy, leasing conversion, renewals, maintenance execution, and resident experience).

Core Responsibilities

1. Training Platform Development & Structure

Build and continuously refine a multi-dimensional training framework, including:

  • Position-Based Training
  • Role-specific curriculum (Manager, APM, Leasing, Maintenance)
  • Experience-level tracks (Year 1, Year 2, advanced progression)
  • Clear sequencing and competency milestones
  • Skill-Based Training
  • Leadership & coaching
  • Leasing & closing performance
  • Customer experience & conflict resolution
  • Operational execution (KPIs, systems, processes)
  • Needs-Based Training
  • Lease-ups and occupancy recovery
  • Underperforming property intervention
  • New system/process rollouts
  • Event-Based Training
  • Quarterly Management & Maintenance Conferences
  • Annual Leadership Conference (ALC)

2. Content & Resource Management

  • Source, organize, and maintain training materials across formats:
  • Digital modules (LMS or shared platforms)
  • Playbooks, SOPs, and guides
  • Video, audio, and live session content
  • Ensure all materials are aligned with current Stellar PPTs and standards
  • Continuously update content as processes, tools, and strategies evolve
  • Integrate industry best practices and vendor-provided training resources

3. Training Delivery & Coordination (30% delivery, 70% coordination)

  • Coordinate training delivery across multiple formats:
  • Virtual (self-paced and instructor-led)
  • In-person sessions and workshops
  • Schedule and manage all training calendars
  • Identify and coordinate trainers:
  • Internal leaders (Regionals, SMEs)
  • External partners and industry providers
  • Ensure consistent execution across properties and teams

4. Performance Tracking & Accountability

  • Implement systems to track training completion, participation, and effectiveness
  • Identify performance gaps and deploy targeted training solutions
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on training impact and progress

5. Industry Research & Innovation

  • Continuously research multifamily and adjacent industry training trends, including:
  • Centralized learning platforms
  • Microlearning and on-demand training models
  • AI-enabled training tools and role-play simulations
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party training providers and certifications
  • Bring forward new ideas to improve efficiency, scalability, and engagement

  • Plan and coordinate training components for:
  • Quarterly conferences (management & maintenance)
  • Annual Leadership Conference (ALC)
  • Company-wide rollouts and initiatives
