Job description

High School Teacher: Derby High School is seeking an ON-SITE Virtualย Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Employee benefits include uncategorized PTO, paid parental leave and we accept PDC for salary placement. ESOL Endorsement Requirements:

Elementary classroom teachers, as well as middle and high school language arts teachers, are required to obtain an ESOL endorsement by the end of their third year with the district. Requirements for obtaining the endorsement are determined by the Kansas State Department of Education and may include coursework and/or passing the appropriate exam. To support this process, the district provides access to a Canvas course designed to help teachers prepare for the exam. The district will reimburse the cost of the exam once the ESOL endorsement has been completed and officially added to the teacher's license.
