Job description

HR Specialist – People Operations (Contract)

Pay: $21/hour

Shift: M-F | 1st shift

4-months assignment

We are seeking detail-oriented HR Specialists to support the People Operations team with virtual I-9 document review and Section 2 completion in Workday. This role is responsible for ensuring employment eligibility compliance while delivering a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual I-9 document inspections in accordance with federal guidelines.

  • Complete Section 2 of Form I-9 accurately within Workday.

  • Review employment authorization documents for authenticity, completeness, and compliance.

  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and new hires to resolve documentation issues.

  • Manage high-volume transactions and ensure completion within required timelines.

  • Escalate compliance-related concerns when necessary.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience completing Form I-9 Section 2 verification.

  • Strong understanding of employment eligibility documentation requirements.

  • Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS platform.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage high-volume work in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
