Job description

Purpose:

Join Athene as an Internal Wholesaler supporting our IMO channel, where you'll help drive annuity sales and deepen relationships with Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), marketers, and agents. Partnering closely with Relationship Managers, you'll combine proactive outbound sales activity, relationship building, and product expertise to identify opportunities and grow Athene's presence across assigned territories.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Relationship Managers to drive annuity sales growth across assigned territories through proactive outbound calling, prospecting, producer profiling, lead follow-up, and relationship development.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned IMOs, principals, marketers, and agents, identifying opportunities to increase engagement and adoption of Athene solutions.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable sales resource, providing effective consultation on Athene's annuity products, services, compensation structures, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

  • Develop and execute targeted sales campaigns- including webinars, conference calls, email outreach, and virtual campaigns- in partnership with Sales and Marketing.

  • Use sales insights, technology, and tools to strengthen prospecting, personalize outreach, identify opportunities, and improve campaign effectiveness while applying sound judgment and adhering to applicable policies.

  • Collaborate across Athene, including with Service Liaisons, to address producer needs, resolve service issues and exceptions, and create a strong partner experience.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in financial services sales, internal wholesaling, business development, annuity sales, or relevant professional experience, preferred.

  • Strong understanding of annuity products, advisor relationship management, consultative selling, and territory management with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, adapt in a fast-paced environment, leverage AI and technology appropriately to improve productivity, and work collaboratively to achieve business goals.

  • FINRA Series 6 license required within 12 months of hire. Progress toward or completion of industry designations (e.g., LIMRA, LOMA, CLU, ChFC, RICP) is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM systems and annuity illustration software preferred.
