Job Summary

The Sr. Internal Wholesaler will partner with the Natoinal Sales Manager and Regional Director(s) to drive sales in the IMO Distribution Channel across assigned producers with pro-active, high-end sales support. This position will also be key in analyzing marketplace intelligence relating to competitive products, programs, and systems in an effort to achieve sales goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in growing the sales of Fixed & Fixed Indexed Annuity sales in the IMO Distribution Channel
  • Demonstrate thorough, in-depth knowledge of company products, practices and procedures
  • Conduct new producer installations (how to do business with Fidelity & Guaranty Life) and provide sales and marketing support to agents with virtual training using a variety of video conferencing platforms and PowerPoint tools
  • Profile IMO's and agents by accurate and timely activity entry into CRM in order to utilize information obtained to further develop sales and business opportunities
  • Work closely with the National Sales Manager & Regional Director (s) to develop business & marketing plans to achieve sales goals and objectives
  • Sales activities to include: extensive outbound and inbound phone activity, training webinars, coordination of necessary materials, etc. to achieve maximum reach in promoting the Fidelity & Guaranty Life products, programs, processes and people
  • Develop expert knowledge and proficiency in utilizing all applications i.e.: company website, expert product knowledge, illustration software
  • Develop expert knowledge of specific account requirements as they relate to service capabilities and procedures, to include relationships with TPAs, operations, and other Fidelity & Guaranty Life departments
  • Enhance product and industry knowledge by being a student of the industry/business and participation of continuous training

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; preferred
  • 5+ years of professional work experience with demonstrated background in serving customers, working collaboratively across internal or external teams, problem solving, and the ability to effectively communicate both in small or large group settings.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry
  • Expert in utilizing illustration software to showcase annuity solutions
  • Life and/ Annuities Licensed preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Highly knowledgeable regarding the annuity insurance marketplace, products, IMO distribution and the competition.Self-motivated individual with ability to work autonomously as apart of a high-performing team with maintaining professionalism in your communication, conduct and treating everyone with a mutual respect
  • General knowledge of financial and retirement planning
  • Demonstrated strong sales, relationship management, and marketing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities
  • Superior communication skills - oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are critical
  • Creativity – ability to package often commonly available information and ideas in a creative way
  • High activity level – history of taking projects from start to finish; an attitude of doing the job
  • Strong problem solving, analysis skills and results oriented
  • Advanced knowledge MS Office, Teams, Word, Excel and Power Point required
  • Proficient with contact management applications (ie. Salesforce)
