NICU Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Travel Assignment

Position Overview

Join a leading Children's Hospital as a NICU Registered Nurse (RN) providing specialized neonatal care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Start Dates
  • July 1
  • July 15
Schedule
  • Shift: 3x12 Nights
  • Hours: 7:00 PM โ€“ 7:30 AM
  • On-Call Requirement: None
Weekend Requirement
  • Must work 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays within each 6-week scheduling period
Holiday Requirement
  • Must work at least one holiday, either:
    • Independence Day (July 4th), or
    • Labor Day
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
  • Previous travel experience required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
Required Licensure & Certifications
  • Active Oregon RN License OR
  • Pending Oregon License Accepted with proof of application and fingerprinting submitted at time of submission
  • BLS
  • NRP
Floating Requirements

Travelers are expected to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs.

Potential float areas include:

  • NICU
  • PICU
  • Pediatric Acute Care (Infant Floor)
  • NICU Overflow Locations
Important Floating Policy

Legacy Health requires travelers to float both within the facility and across the health system as needed.

Refusal to float as requested may result in immediate contract cancellation.

Additional Requirements
  • Travelers must complete all assigned educational requirements within one week of assignment start date.
Local Candidate Policy
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from any Legacy Health facility
Requested Time Off (RTO) Guidelines
  • Finalized RTO must be included at the time of submission
  • No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
  • Maximum of 7 total RTO days per assignment
Guaranteed Hours & Cancellation Policy
  • Guaranteed contracted hours
  • Facility may mandate cancellation of one shift per two-week pay period without penalty
  • Low-census cancellations will be communicated at least 1.5 hours before the start of the shift
