Job description

Fasman Yeshiva High School is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated High School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a proven ability to inspire and engage students at all levels of mathematics, with a particular focus on algebra, geometry, and algebra 2/trig. We are looking for someone who can create an inclusive and positive learning environment where students can develop their mathematical skills and reach their full potential. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach and plan lessons for Geometry and Algebra 1 courses for high school students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and interactive classroom activities and assessments to support student learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with lower academic ability.
  • Use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching practices, set individual student goals, and provide targeted support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
  • Provide support and guidance to students outside of class as needed.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and promotes student engagement and success.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.

Education and Training:

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds at times.
