Job description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in scaling the finance function, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This individual will partner cross-functionally to support gaming-specific revenue models and leverage Workday Financials to enhance reporting, controls, and operational efficiency

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close processes

  • Lead timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

  • Handle revenue recognition, particularly for gaming-specific streams (digital sales, virtual currency, subscriptions, etc.)

  • Maintain and optimize accounting processes within Workday Financials

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and variance analyses

  • Collaborate with FP&A, product, and operations teams to support business initiatives

  • Manage audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors

  • Develop and implement internal controls and process improvements

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position directly oversees General Ledger Accountants

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role

  • Prior experience in the gaming, entertainment, or digital media industry

  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, especially ASC 606

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials (implementation or power-user level preferred)

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong Computer proficiency, ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and applicable financial and operational software.

PREFERRED

  • Experience working in a similar resort setting.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

  • Must regularly lift and/move up to 20 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
