Job Description

We are currently looking for a System Integration Verification & Validation Engineering Analyst, Intermediate  to join our System Integration & Verification team. You will work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team that has adopted an Agile framework, so you will take part in Scrum events, Sprint reviews, and work collaboratively with our program teams and customers. This position is based on-site at our Ottawa facility. In this role, no two days are the same! Working primarily in a lab environment, you can expect to:

  • Develop test plans, test cases and procedures, and utilize varied test methods for system verification tests
  • Innovate with test methods, create automated test programs, and design and participate in verification tests in the lab and field
  • Set up and configure Systems to develop a test case or investigate a problem.
  • You will work side-by-side with the customer in an Integrated Product Team environment and interact with software engineering, systems engineering, and management teams as required
  • This position will include working with Windows Servers, Networking (routing, VLANs), Microsoft applications, radio secure bearers, voice and data networks, and various automation tools (Python, Robot Framework), troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, VCCI, CORE) and simulation tools (VBS).
  • Review technical documentation and provide analysis
  • Assist in planning and coordinating test activities 
  • Support external test events and field trials
  • Share knowledge and present ideas to colleagues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to good conclusions
  • 4+ years of applicable experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; or a related technical/engineering degree
  • Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills, and takes pride and ownership of work
  • Ability to work independently, with general supervision
  • Knowledge in automated test frameworks and implement automated tests
  • Knowledge of Agile and/or iterative development methods may be required
  • SAFe Certification (PO/SM) considered an asset

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.


Additional Information

The hiring range for this position is $77,000-$90,000. Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive offer based on an assessment of internal equity and your qualifications, including:
