How you'll contribute 

A Patient Service Representative who excels in this role:

  • Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times

  • Works with other laboratory personnel to resolve problems with laboratory client samples, and communicates resolutions to clients

  • Functions as liaison with clients to disseminate test information, answer inquiries and troubleshoot problems.

  • Performs clerical and customer service duties using electronic equipment and hospital/laboratory computer systems.

  • Assists with client billing. Communicates price changes to clients.

  • Assists with performance improvement initiatives pertaining to customer service, including data collection and communication with laboratory leadership team

Assists with orientation and training of personnel and students. Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

What we're looking for
Patient Service Representative:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Associates Degree preferred
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. 
    • 1 year laboratory experience (Preferred)
    • 1 year customer service experience (Preferred)
