Job description

Who we are

We're The Beck Group, the largest and most innovative integrated building firm in the country. We are focused on delivering design and construction excellence on a broad range of project types. Headquartered in downtown Dallas, with offices in Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Worth, Mexico City, and Tampa, we believe a better process and outcome results from working together. At Beck, you will find yourself surrounded by passionate colleagues who have a collaborative mindset and care about each other. We are committed to hiring the best and brightest within our industry, and that's why we are seeking experienced professionals like you to help transform the industry and continue building Beck's respected reputation.

What You Bring To The Table

You have a background in architecture, construction, VDC, or a related field and are confident working in Revit to build and document high-quality models. You're someone who likes producing real work, not just talking about it. You can take direction, work through incomplete information, ask smart questions when needed, and keep moving without constant oversight.

You're reliable, self-driven, and eager to learn. You care about doing things the right way, staying organized, and turning out a solid product. You may still be building your understanding of how the industry works, and that's okay - what matters is that you're curious, coachable, and willing to grow.

In this role, we need someone who is comfortable working in a production environment, supporting multiple teams and regions, and helping create enhanced 3D construction models that provide real value to the project team. Experience with Revit automation, Dynamo, or laser scanning is a big plus, but not required.

In This Role, You Will

While reporting to the National Virtual Solutions Manager, you will help execute high-value modeling work that supports construction teams across multiple regions. This role is centered on production, accuracy, follow-through, and turning information from multiple sources into model-based deliverables the field can actually use.

  • Create accurate Revit-based construction models from subcontractor shop drawings, design models, scan data, redlines, and other project inputs.
  • Translate subcontractor CAD shop drawings into Revit and place the correct project-specific elements based on type, elevation, location, and field intent.
  • Model construction-related components such as embeds, sleeves, tiebacks, shoring walls, and similar scope with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Support MEPF sleeve modeling, pre-architectural modeling, and other early construction modeling efforts required before downstream trades begin work
  • Produce model-driven field deliverables including slab penetration drawings, embed drawings, integrated construction drawings, and similar outputs.
  • Work within Autodesk Construction Cloud and support project workflows tied to model exchange, coordination, and team collaboration.
  • Spot issues, communicate them clearly, and elevate concerns early when something looks off, missing, or constructability-driven.
  • Follow Virtual Solutions standards, processes, and technologies and apply them consistently across projects.
  • Manage workload, stay on scope, and hit deadlines in an environment where priorities can shift quickly and turnaround times can be tight.
  • Collaborate with team members to share lessons learned, improve workflows, and support repeatable production processes.
  • Support automation-based workflows and other technology-driven efforts that improve speed, consistency, and quality.
  • Assist with quantity extraction and other model-derived information as team workflows continue to expand.

Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit

This role is a great fit for someone who is reliable, organized, and enjoys producing quality work. You like being in Revit, figuring things out, and turning project information into model-based deliverables that help both the team and the field. You can learn a process, apply it consistently, and keep work moving without needing constant direction but you also are not afraid to ask questions when something does not look right.

You likely come from a construction, architecture, VDC, BIM, or related background and have a solid foundation in Revit. You understand that accuracy matters, deadlines matter, and follow-through matters. A strong fit for Beck's Virtual Solutions team is someone who can stay steady when priorities shift, communicate clearly, and maintain quality in a fast-moving environment.

Because our team works in the space between design and construction, it helps if you are curious about how things are built and interested in workflows that go beyond standard modeling. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should be coachable, eager to learn, and willing to keep building both your technical skills and industry understanding over time.

You will do well here if you take pride in your work, work well with others, and can be counted on when deadlines are tight. This role is best suited for someone who stays focused, works with a good attitude, and wants to keep improving. If you are dependable, motivated, and interested in helping Beck's Virtual Solutions team create real value across a wide range of projects, you will be a strong fit. You also meet the following requirements:

Basic Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in construction, architecture, VDC, BIM, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Revit, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks
  • Understanding of building systems, construction methods, installation procedures, and general sequencing
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from subcontractor shop drawings, design models, redlines, and related project documents
  • Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and maintain quality while working under deadlines
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to communicate progress, issues, and status in a concise and professional manner
  • Interest in construction-focused modeling workflows and the use of technology to improve speed, quality, and consistency
  • Willingness to learn new tools, workflows, and processes as project and team needs evolve
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant industry experience is valued as much as a specific degree path
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows
  • Open to travel 10% of time
