Job description

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Estimator for our partner dealers in Hardeeville, SC.


Job Description : The Estimator will inspect damaged vehicles, prepare accurate repair estimates, document damage, manage supplements, and communicate with customers, insurance adjusters, and the collision repair team throughout the repair process.


Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect vehicles and identify visible and potential collision damage.
  • Write accurate collision repair estimates and repair plans.
  • Photograph and document vehicle damage.
  • Prepare and process supplements for additional damage.
  • Communicate with customers, insurance adjusters, technicians, and parts personnel.
  • Review estimates, repair recommendations, and timelines with customers.
  • Monitor repair progress and maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Collision Center team to keep repairs moving efficiently.
  • Follow OEM repair procedures, safety standards, and dealership processes.
  • Maintain strong customer service and professional communication.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Collision Estimator, Auto Body Estimator, or Damage Appraiser
  • Proven experience writing collision repair estimates and repair plans
  • Experience identifying and documenting vehicle damage, including supplements
  • Working knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, labor, and repair procedures
  • Experience communicating with insurance adjusters and customers
  • Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex/Solera, or similar estimating software
  • I-CAR, ASE, OEM, or other collision repair certifications
  • Previous dealership Collision Center or high-volume body shop experience
  • Experience with insurance negotiations, supplements, and claim processing
  • Knowledge of OEM repair procedures and manufacturer guidelines
  • Experience coordinating estimates with technicians, parts departments, and production teams
