Description

The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for being the liaison between insurance companies, customer, and manager to ensure proper repaid are conducted while providing work-class customer service.

The Body Shop Estimator is supervised by the Body Shop Director.ย 

Essential Functions and Duties

Communicate with insurance companies to get supplement approvals and payments sent directly to the body shop throughout the repair process.

Communicate with customer as repair milestones are being completed

Complete OEM training within 6 months of employment

Conduct final quality checks while verifying estimate line-by-line

Prepare estimates in accordance to manufacturers specifications and provide repair procedure to assigned technicians.

Other duties as assigned.

Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.

Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.ย 

Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. ย Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer's vehicles.

Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.

Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Time Management - ability to manage one's own time

ย At least 2 years of estimating experience in luxury automotive marketย 

Detail oriented with the ability to think outside the box.

Strong verbal and written communicationย

MINIMUM Hiring Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent

18 years or older

Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in state of residence
