Position Summary
Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Art and Design undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department.
The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions to support the department's General Education and minor in Arts, Literature, and Philosophy courses. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach: Introduction to Drawing, Watercolors, Design and Aesthetics, Introduction to Graphic Design, Art History and other courses within the instructor's field of expertise.
Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in person on campus, hybrid, or related lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.
Location: The primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States.
Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information.   • Master's Degree or higher in Art, Design, Graphics Design or related field - years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.
  • Experience teaching at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
  • Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
