We are seeking energetic and experienced Strings (Violin and Cello) Faculty members to join our team at BSMA! The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching students ages 4 and up, and Adults in private and small group classes. This is an in-school (not in-home or online-only) position.
A college degree in music is preferred., with a focus on Violin.  Performers who have 10+ years of teaching experience, are experienced performers, great with children, and have an outgoing personality are encouraged to apply. Must be able to pass a background check.

The successful candidate will be a part-time, W2 employee, not an independent contractor.  
Responsibilities: 
  • Provide a fun and engaging experience for students.
  • Become trained, and certified in delivering our lessons program
  • Keep internal lessons progress notes 
  • Prepare students for community performances and school performances
  • May prepare students for competitions as BSMA rep, or for special auditions.
  • Will teach small groups and bands weekly (recurring group class pay rate is higher than range listed)
Qualifications
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Music Education or  related field
  • Solid Violin performance experience and teaching ability - across multiple genres
  • Reliable attendance history
  • Ability to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging music learning experience in 1-on-1 and group settings
  • Must pass background test, showing suitability to teach children
  • Can work independently, and be directed occassionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Organized
  • Ideally 2+ years' experience teaching music to ages 4 to Adult.
