Job description

Job Purpose:

Folino Estate is looking for multiple Farm Hands/Vineyard Workers! We are looking to hire hard-working, self-motivated, and high-energy individuals to join our team. The Farm Hands/Vineyard Workers will ensure compliance with country standards and maintain a high level of vine health and vineyard integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish vineyards, pruning, tape trunks and canes, cluster thinning, leaf pulling
  • Green fruit removal
  • Help with installation of nets
  • Hedging 2-3 times a year
  • Lateral removal 1-2 times a year
  • Estimate crop load
  • Harvest grapes

Physical Requirements and Skills:

  • Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, with extended standing/walking.
  • Capable of lifting materials and/or product up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions
  • Great time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a multi-company organization.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in personal performance and its impact on the success of Folino Estate.
  • The ability to encourage co-workers to adhere to the standards of Folino Estate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Vineyard or farm hand experience.
  • Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking.
  • Strong communication skills, bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and self-motivated.
