Job Overview:

We are currently hiring for forklift drivers on second shift. This person is responsible for unloading raw materials from trucks, supplying production departments with materials and ingredients as required via lift truck, removing finished goods from production areas, placing raw materials and finished goods in proper storage areas, and loading finished goods on trucks.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
  • Following PPE requirements
  • Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Assure that we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
  • Following GMP requirements
  • Inspecting raw materials and finished goods
  • Completing quality documentation
  • Assisting in rework as assigned
  • Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Responsible for supporting the production lines in the facility to include but is not limited to the following tasks:
  • Check equipment prior to operation and fill out daily operating/safety checklist as required (Electronic).
  • Supply production department with materials and ingredients.
  • Place ingredients and materials into storage.
  • Responsible for general care and upkeep of equipment.
  • Report any damage or necessary repairs required.
  • Exercise care and judgment when operating lift equipment to prevent damage/injury.
  • Select stock in accordance with instruction and deliver to proper location.
  • Be familiar with the plant layout to ensure delivery to proper location.
  • Maintain all necessary records.
  • Hand stack pallets and move heavy pallets as required.
  • Perform any other duty as required by supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform all responsibilities safely and in compliance with GMPs.
  • Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS). This includes, but is not limited to, participation in the following processes:
  • Shift Hand Offs Meetings
  • Level 1 Meetings
  • Performance Boards
  • 5S
  • Defect Handling
  • Work with support departments to improve line performance
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by supervisor or lead person
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed during his/her job to high noise levels, chemicals, exposure to strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors.
Personal Protective Equipment: The employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection and other personal protective equipment to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.
Qualifications:
  • Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
  • Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification
  • Must qualify for and maintain Forklift License, both medically and with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to use SAP to log/track inventory movements
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
