Position Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment at our facility in Greer, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will monitor premises, enforce policies, and respond promptly to incidents to ensure safety of property and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or hazards
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, alarms, and incidents
- Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to ensure security and safety compliance
- Report any irregularities such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a security officer or in a related role preferred
- Ability to remain vigilant and attentive for extended periods
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must meet South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) requirements
