Armed Security Officer

Sarasota, FL | Onsite | Full-Time | $23.00/Hour | Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

LRLV Security LLC is currently looking for an Armed Security Officer to join our Security Operations team in Sarasota, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting employees, visitors, facilities, and high-value collectible assets through proactive security measures, vigilant observation, controlled access, and rapid response to security incidents.

We seek professionals who demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and urgency when responding to potential risks or incidents.

What You Will Do As An Armed Security Officer
  • Perform security patrols throughout the facility.
  • Monitor security systems, surveillance equipment, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
  • Control and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Verify credentials and ensure compliance with facility access procedures.
  • Operate metal detection and screening equipment when required.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and documentation of unusual events.
  • Professionally communicate and interact with employees, visitors, and customers.
  • Exercise sound judgment and take appropriate action during security incidents and emergency situations.
  • Safeguard company assets while ensuring the safety and security of all employees and visitors.
  • Support additional security operations and duties as assigned.
What Makes You The Ideal Candidate
  • Current Florida Class D Security Officer License (REQUIRED).
  • Current Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License (REQUIRED).
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods.
  • Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to protecting people and property.
  • Prior armed security experience is strongly preferred.
  • Military, law enforcement, corrections, or related public safety experience preferred.
  • Experience working in high-security, asset protection, or controlled-access environments is highly desirable.
