Job description

Flex Security Officer - Full Time

Multiple Site Locations: Denver, Centennial, Aurora, & Englewood, CO

Wage Range: $19.75-$23.00/HR

Join our team at Securitas Security where you will have the opportunity to serve your community while receiving advanced training in safety and security. This position will give you the opportunity to gain knowledge in the various security solutions we provide to our clients, while learning multiple vacates of the business. In this role you will provide operational support to our cliental and District Managers at multiple locations.  

This officer will need to be available 6am-11pm or 2pm-6am, schedules are provided a week in advance and will be stationed at multiple locations.

What You Can Expect:

  • Provide security for short-term special security assignments.
  • Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.
  • Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include working the site, writing post orders and training checklists and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
  • Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during “high need” periods.
  • Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, and unauthorized persons.
  • Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. 

Basic Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Above average computer / technology skills needed.
  • Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed. 
  • Must be able to work independently. 
  • Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. 
  • Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. 
  • Must have a professional demeanor. 
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
  • All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. 
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a motor vehicle record.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aide certifications are a plus but are not needed for every site. 

  • With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. 

  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. 

  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. 

  • Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
