Job description

MEDIA PRODUCTION  •  This position is in-office, five days a week and is located in Tyrone, Georgia

ABOUT HARBINGER MARKETING

In-house marketing, outsourced. Harbinger Marketing serves as the full-scale marketing department for growing businesses. Our team of strategists, designers, developers, copywriters, media specialists, and digital experts operates as an extension of our partners' companies, helping them scale faster, smarter, and more profitably.

We combine the strategy of an in-house marketing leader with the horsepower of an entire creative team, handling everything from branding and advertising to media production, SEO, and local marketing. Since 2016, Harbinger has experienced rapid growth by focusing on relationships, excellence, and results.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Harbinger Marketing is looking to hire an in-office, full-time Videographer/Editor. At Harbinger, the Videographer/Editor produces strategic marketing content for our partners and owns that work from concept through delivery. This is a hands-on craft role. You are behind the camera and in the timeline, and you are also expected to help shape what gets made and why.

Harbinger Marketing is a rapidly growing company, having explosive back-to-back years of growth in our past eight years in business. We are looking for a candidate who has a desire to be a part of building something great as well as a strong personal commitment to an intense work ethic, partner service, constant improvement, aggressive growth, excellence in all things, and keeping a positive attitude under pressure.

JOB SUMMARY

Produces photo and video content that serves each partner's marketing strategy and supports the wider team. This is an in-house role, full time in office. Out-of-state travel is a regular part of this role, not an occasional exception. Expect multiple trips per quarter, often running several consecutive days.

Pre-Production & Concept Development

Owns the ideation and the plan for the media that serves each partner's goals. Builds the shoot brief and drafts production schedules against that plan. Coordinates with the marketing directors, digital, and content teams so each production supports one shared strategy for the partner.

Videography & Photography

Handles every aspect of production including planning, production, and post-production. This role will include local and traveling shoot days, operating camera, lighting, and audio, and directing on-camera talent. Shoot days can be long and physical. A full production day on location can run 10 to 12 hours from load-in through wrap.

Editing

Edits photos and videos in house and manages personal shoot and edit schedules across multiple partners. Uses AI-assisted workflows to improve the effectiveness of the work, not just its turnaround time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • DaVinci Resolve experience (editing, color, VFX).
  • Adobe Suite, specifically knowledgeable in Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • Competent using video equipment, with a working understanding of cameras, lighting, audio, and electrical equipment.
  • Experience shooting and editing videos and photos. Must provide a video reel or portfolio of work.
  • Comfortable directing non-professional talent, including business owners and staff, on camera.
  • FAA Part 107 drone certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Composure on Set. Holds a positive, professional presence through long shoot days, including in front of business owners, their customers, and their staff. Keeps the standard when the day runs long, the location fights back, or the plan changes on the fly.
  • Concept Ownership. Takes responsibility for the outcome of the work, not just its execution. Brings ideas that serve the partner's goals rather than waiting for direction.
  • Emotional Intelligence. Able to identify and manage one's own emotions and the emotions of others.
  • Problem Solving. Identifies and resolves problems efficiently; gathers and analyzes information; develops solutions; uses reason.
  • Oral Communication. Speaks clearly with positivity; listens and gets clarification when necessary; responds informatively to questions.
  • Planning/Organizing. Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources.
  • Future Thinking. Perceives future needs and looks for ways to assist in meeting those needs; ready to go above and beyond for the sake of the team, the organization, and our partners.
