About the Position: The Multimedia Specialist Team Lead is responsible for leading the development, production, and delivery of high-quality multimedia content that supports the agency's communication, outreach, training, and public engagement efforts. This position serves as the agency's multimedia production leader, overseeing creative projects from concept development through final production while ensuring consistent branding, professional quality, and alignment with organizational goals.The Multimedia Specialist Team Lead provides leadership, supervision, and mentorship to multimedia staff while coordinating projects, schedules, resources, and workflows. This position is responsible for managing multimedia initiatives, establishing production timelines, prioritizing assignments, and ensuring projects are completed accurately, creatively, and on schedule.The successful candidate will produce engaging digital content through video production, photography, graphic design, audio production, presentations, and other multimedia formats. This position will develop creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and production plans for videos, interviews, promotional materials, educational resources, training content, social media, and special events.The Multimedia Specialist Team Lead will operate and maintain professional video, audio, camera, and lighting equipment while applying knowledge of lighting techniques, composition, sound recording, and visual storytelling to create high-quality multimedia products. This position will also oversee the organization and maintenance of digital assets, project files, equipment, and production documentation.
What you'll need to be Successful: The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of multimedia production principles, including video production, photography, graphic design, audio production, digital communication, and visual storytelling. The Multimedia Specialist Team Lead must possess strong video editing and post-production skills, including all Adobe Creative Cloud applications, experience with professional cameras and lighting equipment, and the ability to create visually engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms. The position requires creativity, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position requires demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to supervise, train, mentor, and support multimedia staff. The successful candidate will be able to assign work, establish priorities, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and promote a collaborative and creative team environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate must be able to work independently, manage projects effectively, meet deadlines, and collaborate with leadership, staff, vendors, and community partners.The position requires strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, manage schedules and deadlines, collaborate with internal and external partners, and provide creative direction and technical expertise to support agency initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years of experience. Hiring agency preference will be given to candidates with supervisory experience and demonstrated success leading creative, technical, or communications teams. Experience managing multimedia projects, coordinating production schedules, and developing content strategies is highly desirable. Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in livestreaming, podcast production, animation, motion graphics, digital storytelling, event production, and social media content development.
