OBJECTIVES
The Video Producer is responsible for creating, capturing, and producing compelling, high-quality video content that advances the mission and vision of TLN Media and its affiliates. This position oversees the complete production process-from creative concept and pre-production planning to filming, editing, post-production, and final delivery-ensuring every project reflects excellence in storytelling, technical execution, and brand consistency.
Working collaboratively with producers, directors, ministry leaders, and the creative team, the Video Producer supports live productions, broadcast programming, digital media initiatives, and promotional campaigns while helping deliver engaging, Christ-centered content across television, streaming, and social media platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Production & Project Management
  • Manage video productions from concept through final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet creative, technical, and organizational standards.
  • Assist with pre-production planning, including creative development, scheduling, equipment preparation, set design, and production logistics.
  • Collaborate with producers, directors, writers, ministry leaders, and creative teams to bring projects to life.
  • Support studio, on-location, remote, and live productions.
  • Operate cameras and assist with video directing, lighting, audio capture, teleprompter operation, and additional production responsibilities.
  • Coordinate production workflows to ensure efficient execution across multiple projects.
  • Develop production rundowns, timelines, and shooting schedules.
Video Editing & Post-Production
  • Capture high-quality video for television broadcasts, studio productions, live events, and digital media.
  • Edit projects from raw footage through final delivery, producing compelling visual stories with excellent pacing and creativity.
  • Perform color correction, audio enhancement, graphics integration, formatting, captioning, and final exports.
  • Deliver same-day and rapid-turnaround edits for broadcast and digital distribution when required.
  • Prepare content for television broadcast, streaming platforms, YouTube, social media, websites, and additional distribution partners.
  • Repurpose existing content for multiple platforms while maintaining visual and brand consistency.
  • Participate in creative reviews and revision cycles to ensure the highest production quality.
Original Programming
Provide production and post-production support for TLN Media's original programming, including:
INSIGHT with Pastor James Ward
  • Edit and prepare episodes for broadcast and digital distribution.
  • Format content for TLN+, OVTV, HisChannel, YouTube, and additional media partners.
  • Deliver broadcast-ready programming that meets technical specifications.
Point of Grace with Pastor Sharon
  • Produce and edit episodic programming.
  • Assist with filming, camera operation, directing support, and production setup.
  • Prepare final episodes for television, streaming, and digital platforms.
Zero Victim
  • Produce, edit, and deliver weekly programming.
  • Support live production and same-day broadcast delivery when necessary.
  • Prepare content for television, YouTube, TLN+, and additional distribution channels.
Cultural Conversations Podcast
  • Edit and produce podcast episodes for television, streaming, YouTube, and social media.
  • Support production through camera operation, directing assistance, and technical setup.
  • Ensure high-quality audio and video presentation across all platforms.
Additional Original Programming
  • Support the development and production of new TLN Media programming.
  • Assist with special broadcasts, live events, interviews, documentaries, and ministry initiatives as assigned.
Promotional & Campaign Content
  • Produce promotional videos, commercials, ministry stories, donor features, testimonials, and campaign assets.
  • Support organizational marketing initiatives through creative video storytelling.
  • Ensure all content aligns with TLN Media's brand standards, messaging, and creative vision.
  • Create engaging content that supports fundraising, ministry awareness, and audience engagement.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Stay current with industry trends, production technology, editing techniques, and storytelling best practices.
  • Utilize emerging technologies, including AI-powered creative tools, to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain production equipment and assist in organizing media assets and project files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of TLN Media's mission.

MUST-HAVES
  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional experience in video production, videography, filmmaking, or digital media through employment, freelance work, internships, volunteer service, or formal education.
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, or the ability to become proficient quickly.
  • Ability to learn and utilize Adobe After Effects and other motion graphics software.
  • Experience operating professional cameras and production equipment.
  • Familiarity with live production environments, including switchers, lighting systems, audio consoles, and production workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Allen & Heath, DiGiCo, Waves, Dante, MADI, RF systems, microphone techniques, and digital production infrastructure, or the ability to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies, including AI-assisted creative tools, to improve efficiency and innovation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week, generally scheduled Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on production schedules, live broadcasts, ministry events, and organizational needs.
Fridays are currently designated as a remote workday; however, employees may be asked to work on-site when production schedules or ministry needs require.
This role operates in a fast-paced creative environment where adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence are essential.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation
Compensation is based on qualifications and experience and is determined in accordance with the organization's established hourly pay range and applicable Illinois pay transparency requirements.
Continued employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a 30-day introductory period.
