Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Video Content, the Specialist – Video Editing is responsible for effectively creating and communicating the creative vision for assigned video projects. As a Video Editor, you will use your creativity, attention to detail, and technical expertise to elevate our projects and craft compelling stories that resonate with our target audience.
The Specialist – Video Editing will be responsible for showcasing seasonal collections as well as marketing and promotional campaigns across various channels (e.g., television, YouTube, in-store screens, organic channels, and social media platforms). Using an agile approach, the incumbent will work closely with stakeholders and teams from various departments, including Marketing.

What you'll do
Create dynamic and engaging promotional videos
Review and organize raw audiovisual footage and establish a work plan with the Video Content Manager
Edit video content while adhering to established timelines and production schedules
Develop editing solutions based on feedback received
Complete necessary exports and captures according to requested assets
Perform video color grading when required
Research music and complete audio mixing for audiovisual content
Demonstrate understanding and ability to execute graphic motion and visual design projects
Consult with stakeholders throughout the production and post-production process
Ensure file naming conventions and file organization comply with departmental standards and assist in organizing data servers and work tools
Collaborate with the team to develop new video content formats
Follow up on internal and external approvals for all content under their responsibility
Coordinate with external vendors for audio mixing, color grading, and closed captioning services for the hearing impaired
Verify the technical compliance of graphic elements and obtain required approvals
Archive and organize projects according to established naming conventions.
What You Bring
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects
Strong understanding of post-production workflows
Understanding of traditional, digital, and social marketing channels
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written
Retail industry experience is considered an asset
Knowledge of sports, fashion, and active lifestyles is considered an asset
Strong ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and work collaboratively as part of a team
Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and problem-solving
High level of attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
Ability to ensure logical sequencing and smooth flow in video content
Creative mindset with demonstrated video editing and storytelling skills
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scope simultaneously
