Video Quality Control information

What is a video quality control?

Video Quality Control jobs involve reviewing and assessing video content to ensure it meets specific technical and quality standards before distribution or broadcast. Professionals in this role check for issues such as color accuracy, audio synchronization, encoding errors, and compliance with regulatory or client specifications. They use specialized software and equipment to detect problems and may be responsible for reporting and sometimes correcting these issues. These roles are essential in industries like television, film, streaming services, and post-production to guarantee viewers receive high-quality, error-free content.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a video quality control professional?

To thrive as a Video Quality Control professional, you need keen attention to detail, a solid understanding of video formats and standards, and often a degree or experience in film, media, or a related technical field. Familiarity with video editing software, QC tools such as Vidchecker or Baton, and media asset management systems is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are valuable soft skills in this role. These skills ensure that video content meets technical and creative standards, minimizing errors and maintaining high-quality deliverables for clients and audiences.

What are the most common challenges faced in a video quality control role, and how can they be managed?

Professionals in Video Quality Control often encounter challenges such as tight deadlines for content delivery, varying video formats and codecs, and spotting subtle technical issues like audio sync problems or compression artifacts. Managing these challenges typically involves staying organized, using advanced QC software tools, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards. Strong attention to detail and effective communication with production and post-production teams also play a key role in resolving issues efficiently and ensuring high-quality output.

What is the difference between Video Quality Control vs Video Editing?

AspectVideo Quality ControlVideo Editing

JR107045 AI & Security System Engineer

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Micron's Physical Security organization is transforming how security technology is designed, integrated, and operated across a global footprint.

This role combines enterprise physical security systems engineering with sophisticated AI engineering to create the next generation of intelligent security operations.

The AI & Security Systems Engineer serves as the technical authority for physical security solutions encompassing access control, video management, video analytics, intrusion detection, sensor systems, and security data integration.

The role is equally responsible for designing and implementing AI-powered capabilities that improve security operations, investigations, insider risk detection, travel security, and executive protection.

This is a highly technical individual contributor role requiring expertise in both enterprise technologies and modern AI/ML systems.

The successful candidate will build global security technology solutions, connect various security systems and data sources, and develop advanced capabilities that transform operational security intelligence across Micron.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical engineer for enterprise physical security technology platforms including Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Management Systems (VMS), CCTV, intrusion detection, visitor management, and emerging security technologies.
  • Design and implement integrations between physical security platforms and enterprise systems including identity management, HR systems, case management, incident management, and analytics platforms.
  • Develop strategies for cloud-connected and hybrid security architectures that improve resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement advanced video analytics, edge AI technologies, and intelligent sensor platforms to enhance threat detection and situational awareness.
  • Lead technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and vendor evaluations for next-generation security technologies.
  • Establish engineering standards, lifecycle management processes, and technology roadmaps for global physical security systems.
  • Partner with site security teams, facilities, IT, and manufacturing organizations to ensure security technology solutions meet operational requirements.
  • Build and engineer intelligent physical security ecosystems by integrating video management systems, access control platforms, intrusion detection systems, IoT sensors, and analytics powered by artificial intelligence.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of software and systems engineering experience leading enterprise-scale distributed systems, production services, and technical initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on development expertise in Python and modern programming languages (Go, C#/.NET, Java, or TypeScript), with deep knowledge of testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
  • Proven track record designing, building, and operating scalable APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and cloud-native applications in production environments.
  • Extensive experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, generative AI, RAG architectures, MLOps, and model lifecycle management.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, data engineering, IAM/security guidelines, and partnering with business leaders to deliver secure, reliable technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing production RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI retrieval systems, including retrieval-quality tuning and evaluation.
  • Strong background in agent frameworks, custom MCP server development, tool integrations, and advanced AI/LLM application architecture.
  • Expertise in MLOps, model evaluation, annotation services, and human-in-the-loop workflows to improve AI model performance and reliability.
  • Domain knowledge across security-focused environments, including physical security, video analytics, insider threat/UEBA, vendor risk, and travel security programs.
  • Proven experience in DevSecOps and multi-cloud environments, implementing secure-by-design practices, vulnerability management, secrets management, policy-as-code, and supporting security‑critical global operations.
