Job description

We are looking for a licensed electrician who can work with some low-voltage wiring when required for video walls, smart boardrooms, and sound systems as well as install audio visual equipment into commercial and educational spaces. We are looking for high quality, hardworking, and reliable workers that can move at a fast pace, while still working accurately. This is a steady, indoors, no weekends job.

We provide tools, shirts, and paid transportation from RnB to jobs each day. We also offer training to advance your skills and to learn new technology.

You must be available to work day shift AND night shift. (Hours are not the same every day and will be 8-hour shifts not double shifts. i.e.: one day you may work 7:00 - 3:00 and next might be 1:00 - 9:00) Must be flexible. Overtime is as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Proficient with AV signal flow, equipment functionality, and programming
  • Experience with installing, testing, and commissioning custom AV control systems
  • Passion and capacity for learning
  • Technology skills and an ability to quickly understand new technology
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Test point to point cabling, functionality of systems, code for control and DSP systems – field load as necessary
  • Work with office staff to initiate return material authorizations as needed
  • Knowledge of complex wiring configurations and/or signal flow for audio, video, control, network
  • Knowledge and use of specific test equipment for required applications
  • OSHA Card preferred
  • Implementing and/or performing new systems and equipment installation, field service, or system repairs.
  • Create, track, and complete a project Punchlist
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints

  • Commercial experience with audiovisual equipment, and systems required
  • Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/resolve service issues related to integrated AV Systems
  • Ability to lift >50lbs
  • Strong skills with hand tools and measuring
  • Preferred Certifications: Atlona, Extron, Dante, Biamp, certifications
  • AVIXA CTS, CTS-I
  • Valid State of CT Electrical License preferred
  • Commercial experience with audiovisual equipment, and systems required. Preference given to those with 5+ years of experience
