We're looking for a Senior Videographer/Multi-Media Specialist to create meaningful, high-quality video content that brings business purpose to life. In this role, you'll lead projects from pre-production to post-production and delivery, using technical expertise, creative judgment, and storytelling skills. This hands-on, hybrid role includes work from home, in office and off-site, with occasional early morning, evening or weekend work and possible travel. The ideal candidate is proactive, accountable, and collaborative. French language skills are considered an asset, and a demo reel is required.

What you will do 

  • On set: serve as director, camera operator, sound and lighting technician
  • Post-production expert
  • Pitch, plan, execute video projects
  • Create high-quality video, audio and photographic communications that achieve business objectives
  • Develop and promote an understanding of best practices in video storytelling while ensuring alignment with the Canada Life brand
  • Work with all levels of executive leadership in a professional manner
  • Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain source files and backups of multimedia with media storage system, and network storages
  • Operate and maintain video equipment
  • Stay on top of industry innovations and recommend new tools, equipment and software 

What you will bring 

  • A strong demo reel showcasing video work for web, social and digital platforms, grounded in storytelling and brand alignment
  • 8 years' experience preferred; 5 years' experience minimum - filming, editing, producing and directing videos
  • Excellent operating knowledge of various professional 4K video cameras, lenses, lighting, sound equipment and microphones
  • Strong understanding of colour grading and framing
  • Deep experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects
  • Expert story telling ability and interview skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including a high level of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, tact, and patience
  • Clear, collaborative communication skills and the ability to advocate for design integrity, accessibility and user experience
  • High attention to detail and the ability to deliver and receive feedback constructively
  • Advanced knowledge of video file formats, codecs and delivery methods
  • Ability to guide the work of others, and to manage and delegate tasks on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and a commitment to creating inclusive content
  • Valid driver's license
  • French language skills are considered an asset

The base salary for this position is between $65,800 - $109,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
