Job description

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is currently looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Project Support Specialist to join our Omaha office. As a Senior Project Support Specialist, you will provide advanced project and document control support and serve as a key resource for engineering and project teams.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required.

Must have 10+ years of project support, document control, or related experience in an engineering, construction, or EPC environment.

Must be highly detail oriented and able to identify and prioritize critical project deliverables.

Strong technical skills required including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel).

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Must be a self-starter and dependable with the ability to meet deadlines, maintain accountability, and demonstrate consistent attendance.

Must be able to maintain a professional attitude and work effectively as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate or Bachelor's degree.

Experience supporting large, complex engineering or EPC projects.

Advanced experience with Document Management Systems such as Aconex.

Experience mentoring or training junior project support personnel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video conferencing, and software systems.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced administrative and project support services to engineering and project management professionals supporting one or multiple projects.

Maintain and oversee project record keeping systems; ensure all records management and document control practices are performed in accordance with company and client requirements.

Monitor, track, and report on the status of project deliverables and assignments to ensure time, cost, and quality metrics align with approved project plans.

Establish, maintain, and enforce document control procedures including naming conventions, revision control, file structures, and workflows.

Receive, review, log, distribute, and archive incoming and outgoing documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, procedures, reports, and correspondence.

Perform quality checks to ensure documents comply with company standards, project requirements, and client specifications.

Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, and internal project teams regarding document requirements, submission schedules, and compliance.

Work across multiple Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).

Provide guidance and support to junior Project Support Specialists or document control staff as needed.

Assist with preparation for client meetings, audits, and reviews including compiling documentation and drafting correspondence.

Other duties as assigned.
