Video Technician, Full Time

Who We Are

We are an experiential creative agency and live event production company based in Gurnee, IL producing more than 100 live and virtual events globally each year. Our team’s primary focus is supporting corporate meetings, experiential marketing events, product launches, trade shows and brand activations. Providing a unique blend of both creative and staging services, Sardis Media is a team of artists, producers and technology experts who bring amazing ideas to life on every project.

Who We Need

We are currently seeking a video technician to support our live and virtual event productions in a fast paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Technical Resource Director
  • Assist Project Managers in evaluating video equipment needs for upcoming projects
  • Video equipment operation and maintenance on location at event sites, in our studio and in the warehouse
  • LED video wall installation, operation and maintenance on location at event sites, in our studio and in the warehouse
  • Consistent domestic travel to live event locations
  • Assist in the prep, pack and loading of equipment for events
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in live and virtual audio visual production, broadcast, theater, or related area
  • Knowledge of video switcher systems including, but not limited to, Ross, Panasonic, Blackmagic and Barco
  • Knowledge of LED video wall construction and operation
  • A strong understanding of SDI based workflows
  • Strong computer skills including Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as an understanding of IP-based networking
  • A desire to work in a collaborative environment with a team-first mentality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
