Job description

Is this you?
You spend weekends experimenting with the latest AI tools, building personal automation projects, or creating content with AI-generated images and voices. Maybe you've built a chatbot for fun, automated your smart home, or created videos using AI avatars. You're excited about the possibilities of AI and want to apply that enthusiasm professionally.
We have the perfect job for someone who's been tinkering with AI tools in their spare time and wants to turn that passion into a career.
For this position, we value passion and experimentation over formal credentials.
This is us:
Transform Labs, a 30-year-old software engineering firm based in Ohio collaborates with a diverse range of customers to develop exceptional tech products. In 2026, our company was acquired by Red Hawk Technologies, a Cincinnati-based fractional consulting firm.
We're seeking a U.S.-based AI enthusiast to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge automation solutions. You'll work with Large Language Models (LLMs), multimodal AI tools, and workflow orchestration platforms to create intelligent systems that handle text, voice, images, and video.
You will:
  • Build and maintain automated workflows using tools like n8n, Zapier, orMake.
  • Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into business processes.
  • Create multimodal AI workflows combining text, voice, images, and video.
  • Develop RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems to connect AI to company data.
  • Work with voice-to-text, text-to-speech, and media generation tools.
  • Create and optimize prompts for various AI applications.
  • Design data pipelines and manage vector databases.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify automation opportunities.
Your skills:
  • Programming fundamentals in Python or JavaScript (hobby projects count!).
  • API integration experience - REST APIs, JSON, HTTP requests.
  • Workflow thinking - the ability to map processes into automated sequences.
  • Basic data handling - JSON, CSV, simple database operations.
  • Curiosity and hands-on experimentation with AI tools and platforms.
  • Self-directed learning and a problem-solving mindset.
Bonus points if you've:
  • Built personal projects combining multiple AI tools.
  • Created content using AI (videos, podcasts, images, etc.).
  • Automated personal tasks or workflows.
  • Shared your experiments on social media or GitHub.
  • Participated in AI communities or hackathons.
This is a long-term (one year or longer) remote 1099 contract position with a pay rate of $40/hour.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept candidates who require sponsorship or live outside the United States.
Red Hawk/Transform Labs offers:
  • Remote work.
  • 1099 contract at $40/hour.
  • A collaborative project-driven team environment.
  • Coding standards and coding reviews to help you improve.
  • A tight-knit, intellectually curious, hilarious delivery team that feels like Home.
  • We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
