  • George Washington University is recruiting student content creators for the GW Digital Ambassador team to help inspire alumni and members of the community to support GW through our annual giving program.
  • The GW Digital Ambassador team for the GW annual giving program will serve as the primary liaison between the institution and prospective donors through video and call center outreach.
  • The GW Digital Ambassador team will connect with alumni, students, parents, and friends of the institution throughout the year, helping educate the GW community about the impact of giving.

Position Specific Summary
  • Call alumni, parents, and friends to build personal rapport, update demographic information, and secure donations. 6-10 weeks/semester; 7.5 hours/week.
  • Participate in all aspects of video production to produce a steady stream of video projects
  • Producing simple, straight-forward, "authentic" video (using your phone to capture of-the-moment, compelling content)
  • Video editing via tools such as iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut
  • Scripting and storyboarding individual and/or team videos
  • Serve as on-camera talent for the video produced by you and your fellow Student Video Ambassador teammates
  • Attending campus events or interviewing subjects to give alumni and supporters an "inside-look" at campus life
  • Create messaging which allows for engaging with students, alumni, parents, and friends of the university through multiple channels to inspire philanthropic giving

Standard Position Description
The student will manage and/or design marketing and communication strategies and content for departments and/or special events. Tasks may include: Planning, creating, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, website resources, digital content and design, and/or managing of social media accounts. While completing work with a high degree of discretion, the student will work within organization marketing standards and guidelines. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
