As a Senior Game Designer, you will play a key role in bringing the iconic and terrifying world of Dead by Daylight to life.  As a Senior Game Designer, you will help shape how the content created by the community is designed, experienced, and evolves within the game. You will help define the framework and experience around them, curate and evaluate different modes, and ensure they provide meaningful and engaging experiences for players. You will also contribute hands-on to prototyping and help elevate other designers by sharing your knowledge and approach to prototyping.

In this role you will:
  • Design the UGC ecosystem to provide meaningful, engaging, and sustainable player experiences.
  • Work hands-on with the engine (Unreal) and prototyping tools to explore and validate ideas, leveraging Unreal Engine, scripting, or modding experience to understand technical possibilities and constraints.
  • Design and work across game modes, cosmetics, creator tools, mode editors, and other features while considering how they will be maintained and supported over time.
  • Define and communicate the vision for the UGC and modding experience, translating creative goals into clear player and creator flows, systems, documentation, and design requirements.
  • Translate creative needs into actionable requirements and helping find solutions that balance player experience, scope, and technical feasibility.
  • Leverage UGC tools to mentor other designers, encouraging hands-on experimentation and prototyping while sharing best practices.
What we're looking for:
  • 6+ years of experience in video game, including 4+ years in a game design role.
  • Multidisciplinary background across systems, gameplay, modes, or player-facing features.
  • Experience with modding and user-generated content or with Unreal Engine scripting (blueprint).
  • Experience or interest in designing game modes and systems.
  • Experience in prototyping and hands-on experience with tools and/or engines.
  • Ability clearly communicates design ideas and vision.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal in French and/or in English, and collaboration skills.

A plus:

  • Experience in technical design.

Dans ce role, tu devras:

  • Plus de 6 ans d'experience dans l'industrie du jeu video, dont au moins 4 ans dans un role en conception de jeux;
  • Parcours multidisciplinaire couvrant les systemes, le gameplay, les modes de jeu ou les fonctionnalites destinees aux joueurs;
  • Experience avec le modding et le contenu genere par les utilisateurs (UGC), ou avec le scripting dans Unreal Engine (Blueprints);
