Job Summary:
KHBS/KHOG 40/29 & THE ARKANSAS CW is a prominent broadcasting company seeking a Local News Producer. The role involves creating engaging newscasts, guiding reporters, and coordinating with a team to deliver accurate and timely news coverage.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Select, research, and write content for live newscasts to make the newscast an "experience" for viewers
โ€ข Work with and guide reporters in story production
โ€ข Coordinate creative vision with team of anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff
โ€ข Boothing assigned newscasts, breaking news and weather events
โ€ข Live timing newscasts
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Professional or college producing experience
โ€ข Experience working in a newsroom
โ€ข Have writing and copy-editing skills
โ€ข Coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously
โ€ข Experience summarizing information into easy-to-understand components
โ€ข Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements
โ€ข Have and exhibit the highest journalistic integrity and ethical standards
โ€ข Must be available to work holidays, shifts including nights, weekends and overnights, and flexible with schedule to be available during breaking news
