Your Mission
Redefine what’s possible in public education. It is your primary responsibility to prepare all students with the academic and social skills necessary to persist and engage productively in their communities. Under the direction of the Lead Teacher, work with students in small groups or in one-to-one assignments to teach, reinforce, or follow up learning activities in core academic, language, and/or specialized subject areas. These duties shall be designed to complement the instructional program to maximize the learning opportunity for the inclusion student. The Paraprofessional will also assist in the establishment and implementation of appropriate classroom and school-wide behavior and perform a routine of clerical tasks as assigned.
Learning, additionally, does not stop in the classroom. At Compass Rose, we engage with the community regularly, asking families what they want to see from their graduates, listening to them and taking their wishes seriously, and we use the information we learn to shape our schools. Our goal is to always align our program with the desires of our community.
