Job Summary:
Panic Button is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on game porting to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in software engineering teams in the video game industry, with recent and extensive experience in cross-platform console development.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Ability to support and maintain existing systems
โ€ข Ability to collaborate with other engineers, artists, and designers
โ€ข Experience with multithreaded, real-time systems
โ€ข Experience balancing performance and maintainability
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 4+ years of work experience in gaming
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
โ€ข Strong knowledge of C++
โ€ข Ability to support and maintain existing systems
โ€ข Ability to collaborate with other engineers, artists, and designers
โ€ข Experience with multithreaded, real-time systems
โ€ข Experience balancing performance and maintainability
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Unreal Engine or other proprietary engines
โ€ข Experience with modern console hardware
โ€ข Game industry experience
โ€ข Experience with low-level memory management and optimization
