We have worked all over the United States completing over thousands of projects in the field of creative multimedia shows for clients such as Rihanna, Jay Z, Tiesto, Lady Gaga, America’s Got Talent and multiple professional sports franchises in the NFL, NBA and NHL. We have also created permanent and temporary interactive installations for world class venues including the Staples Center, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Walt Disney World.

Our engineering team works within tight timelines and exacting constraints to bring client’s visions to life and wow audiences worldwide. We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Assembler interested in joining Image Engineering to manufacture the next cutting edge entertainment technology, whether for game day presentation on an NFL field, a tour for a musical artist or permanent installation in a themed entertainment environment. This individual would report to our Headquarters in Baltimore, Monday through Friday during our normal business hours. Overtime and travel may be required based on need. 

Job Description:

Responsibilities

Mechanical Assembly

  • Assemble mechanical and plumbing sub-assemblies 
  • Interpret diagrams, drawings, or written instructions to assemble parts to      engineering specification
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Complete assembly QA paperwork in collaboration with other engineering team members
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with company procedures
  • Assess assemblies for quality assurance and defects, complete QC paperwork
  • Assist the Manager, Fabrication & Assembly with maintaining the inventory management for the Engineering and Fabrication department
  • Accept, inventory, and properly store Incoming materials, components, and hardware
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and rules

Engineering Team Collaboration

  • Approach work with a team mentality
  • Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to meet fast paced deadlines
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in  mechanical/electrical assembly a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
  • Use of measuring tools such as calipers for accuracy and quality assurance
  • Ability to manage own workload with little oversight to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and team-based mentality
